What Fears and Desires Have in Common

Both fears and desires can cause paralysis, albeit for different reasons. We often exaggerate the effect a perceived risk will have on our lives. As a result, we don’t take the risk. We also exaggerate the amount of time we have to fulfill our desires. As a result, we waste time, and put our goals off until it’s too late.
